Library cards are issued free of charge to any resident in Clark County, Indiana over 5 years of age.

Proof of Clark County residency is
required at time of registration.
Children aged 5 to 17 will be issued a juvenile card and required to have a legal guardian sign for them.
Juvenile card holders are not permitted to check out movies
on dvd or vhs.
Persons living outside of Clark County, Indiana may obtain a library card for free if he/she lives in a library district that is part of the Statewide Reciprocal Borrowing Covenant of Libraries. 150 libraries in Indiana are a part of this program. Some of these libraries include: Jeffersonville Township Public Library; Madison Jefferson County Public Library;
New Albany-Floyd County Public Library; Scott County Public Library; Salem Public Library; Harrison County Public Library.
Non-residents of Clark County wanting to obtain a CCCPL library card
will need to show the home library card and proof of address at time
of application.
Persons living in Indiana who do not live in a library taxed district may
purchase a non-resident borrower card for $33 per year. This would include
residents living in Washington County outside of the city limits of Salem.
Proof of address is needed at time of application.
The PLAC fee is $50 per year for persons who live in a library district that is not part of the reciprocal library program.
Lost cards are to be reported.
Library cards are not transferable.
Library cards are the responsibility of the assignee.
Lost cards can be replaced for $1.00.
